Sharen Alzalip has 21 years working experiences in legal services spanning from private practice to in house counsel; given the opportunity to see the best of both legal services worlds.
A graduate from International Islamic University Malaysia in Bachelor of Laws (LLB). He holds Master of Business Administration and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from University of the West of Scotland and London Examinations Board respectively. He was called to the Malaysian Bar as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 5 March 2004. He started off his career as a lawyer in medium size law firms which mainly attuned to general litigation matters, he joined the corporate sector as a legal counsel in Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad (now known as Celcom Axiata Berhad) (“Celcom”); a major telecommunication service provider in Malaysia. Subsequently, Sharen served SapuraCrest Petroleum Berhad (later known as SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad and Sapura Energy Berhad today) as legal counsel; one of the world's largest integrated oil and gas services and solutions provider with the principal business include providing end-to-end solutions and services to the upstream petroleum industry. He re-joined the telecommunication fraternity through Celcom Axiata Berhad as a Senior Counsel in Regulatory, Infrastructure and Procurement Unit of Celcom’s Legal Division; primarily in charge of upstream telecommunication matters. He was then given the opportunity to lead the Legal Division as the the Head of Legal Division in Altel Communications Sdn Bhd; a telecommunication service provider company under Al Bukhary Group; owned by Malaysian business tycoon; Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Al Bukhary. Later on, he joined Edotco Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Edotco); a company under Axiata Group Berhad as a Specialist. Edotco is a telecommunication infrastructure provider that concentrates on providing telecommunication infrastructure for instance; telecommunication towers, in-building infra and base transceiver station hotel to the telecommunication services provider in Malaysia. He founded the firm on 8 March 2021. |
